It is completely safe. The Utoro neighborhood has long been associated with false and prejudiced ideas — in part because it was home to a Korean community, and in part because years of neglected infrastructure gave an unfair impression. In reality it was, and is, a neighborhood where people worked hard, looked after each other, and built a life together.
Some students arrive on school programs with worries shaped by what they’ve heard from adults — and leave wanting to correct that misunderstanding at home. Come and see for yourself. Set the preconceptions aside and simply come to meet the neighbors.
