Q
Do visitors’ perspectives change after a program?
A
We hear from participants who began speaking up against discriminatory remarks after their visit, who wrote about Utoro for school newspapers or university theses, or who went home and immediately talked to their families about what they’d learned.
One student from a nearby middle school wrote: “I had been told by my parents and grandmother to stay away from Utoro. After hearing the talk, I realized it isn’t somewhere to avoid — and that many more people need to know this story. I’m going straight home to tell my parents.”
