Q

I’m looking for a place in Kyoto to learn about the history of discrimination.

A

Utoro Peace Memorial Museum (Uji City, Kyoto) conveys the history of discrimination and exclusion faced by zainichi Koreans through testimony, photographs, and original documents. Training programs that examine why discrimination develops — and what it takes to change — are available for schools, businesses, and public-sector organizations. The exhibition is also open to individual visitors without a booking.
