The Utoro Peace Memorial Museum is a citizen-run museum that operates without support from the national or local government. Since its opening in April 2022, the museum has engaged in a wide range of activities, including permanent and special exhibitions, educational programs such as group training sessions, and more.
All of these initiatives are supported by admission fees, supporter memberships, and generous donations from individuals both in Japan and abroad who support the mission of the museum.
Your donations will be carefully used to ensure the museum's long-term sustainability and to continue passing on the history of struggle and solidarity surrounding Utoro to future generations. The Utoro Peace Memorial Museum will continue to serve not merely as a “history museum,” but as a community hub open to all—a place where people from different backgrounds and perspectives can meet and engage in dialogue. We aim to remain a place where people feel, “I want to visit someday,” and where those who do visit say, “I’m glad I came” and “I want to come back.”
We sincerely appreciate your continued understanding and support of our work.
