For Group/Individual Visitors
For Individual Visitors
If you wish, you can apply to join on one of the scheduled days for Public Tour, and receive a guided tour. This is a tour we highly recommend — it shares the story of Utoro in ways you can’t fully grasp from the exhibition alone.
For Group Visits
We highly encourage you to take advantage of our Private Tour. Since the museum opened in 2022, the Utoro Peace Memorial Museum has conducted hundreds of private tours each year, receiving very positive feedback.

Train
600 meters (8-minute walk) from Iseta Station on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line
Please note that Google Maps may sometimes suggest a route that takes twice as long from the station area.
- From Exit 2 of Iseta Station, head right (west) and walk downhill.
- Before reaching Nose-en (のせ園), turn left.
- Continue straight until you reach the irrigation canal, and cross to the south side.
- At the front of Nishi-Uji Junior High School (西宇治中学校), turn right.
- Keep walking straight — you’ll arrive at the Utoro Peace Memorial Museum.
Taxi
If you plan to take a taxi from the station, we recommend using Ōkubo Station on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line. Although Iseta Station is the closest to the museum, it is a small station and taxis may not be readily available there.

We kindly ask visitors to use public transportation whenever possible.

Accessibility Information
For Wheelchair Users and Others with Mobility Needs
- A designated parking space is available for visitors with disabilities.
- Please note that Iseta Station, the nearest station, is unmanned. If you plan to return via Iseda Station, you may need to contact Shintanabe Station in advance to arrange for staff assistance at Iseda.
- The museum has three floors—1st: community space, 2nd: permanent exhibition, 3rd: special exhibitions—with an elevator (200kg limit); a lightweight wheelchair is available for visitors using heavier chairs, and advance notice is requested if multiple are needed.
- Please note that the elevator only goes up to the third floor, so access to the rooftop is unfortunately not possible.
- An accessible restroom is located on the first floor.
For Visitors Who Are Blind or Have Low Vision
Written communication is available. We provide paper and pencils for this purpose.
For Visitors Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
During group tours, we have offered the following tactile experiences:

Visitors are welcome to enter the museum with assistance dogs, including guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs.
